From Ebay Description (#6224324664, November 2005):

This is a great cabinet card photographic image from the Canadian Pacific wilderness of a construction crew with their mule and cart standing in front of a partially constructed tunnel opening. Card is larger than the others at 7" by 9", and it is in good condition with no problems with the actual photograph, but a couple of corners are missing and there is light edge wear to the matte. The construction crew looks like they are shoring up the sides of the excavation, and there is a large pile of materials upper left. This is part of a terrific lot of 15 stereoviews and 40 cabinet card photographs of the Canadian Rockies in western Canada, particularly the Selkirk Mountains in British Columbia, taken by a few different photographers in the 1880s. Subjects are mostly associated with the exploration and building of the Canadian Pacific Railway through that remote wilderness area, and several are of the trains, trestles, and some great images of the actual workers.
